Moo.

Jeremy Lee introduced this epi-tarded song :D

I am Cow!!!! by Arrogant Worms
I am Cow, hear me moo
I weigh twice as much as you
And I look good on the barbecue
Yogurt, curd, cream, cheese and butter's
Made from liquid from my udders
I am Cow, I am Cow, hear me moo

I am Cow, eating grass
Methane gas comes out my ass
And out my muzzle when I belch
O, the ozone layer is thinner
From the outcome of my dinner
I am Cow, I am Cow, I've got gas

I am Cow, here I stand
Far and wide upon this land
And I am living everywhere
From B.C. to Newfoundland
You can squeeze my teats by hand
I am Cow, I am Cow, I am Cow
I am Cow, I am Cow, I am Cow!

Retarded T-Shirts!

I was browsing the virtual retail stores on the interwebs, and stumbled upon these hilarious and witty T-shirt designs at bustedtees.com! I literally Laughed Out Loud!

Enjoy this tumblr-wannabe post! :D

"Ludwig van Beethoven died in 1827 of liver disease. True."

MY FAVORITE! HAHAHA

"Depression, as currently defined by the American Psychological Association Journal, can be traced back to this specific situation."

"We were going to sell a Taylor Swift shirt, but he cut us off."

"In brightest day, in blackest night, always obey traffic lantern’s light."

LMAO indeed!!

On The Ground!

LOL YOU MUST WATCH THIS VIDEO! Super funny song!
** Caution: Has some PG stuff**

Here be the lyrics!

I was walkin’ through the city streets
and a man walks up to me and hands me the latest energy drink
Run faster. Jump Higher.
Man, I’m not gonna let you poison me.
I threw it on the ground!

You must think I’m a joke!
I ain’t gonna be part of this system!
Man, pump that garbage in another man’s veins!

I go to my favorite hot dog stand
and the dude says, “you come here all the time! Here’s one for free.”
I said, “Man, what I look like, a charity case?”
I took it, and threw it on the ground!

I don’t need your handouts!
I’m an adult!
Please, you can’t buy me hot dog man!

At the farmer’s market with my so-called “girlfriend”
She hands me her cellphone, says it’s my dad.
Man, this ain’t my dad. This is a cellphone! <-- THE FUNNIEST LINE!
I threw it on the ground!

What you think I’m stupid?
I’m not a part of this system!
My dad’s not a phone! Duh!

Some poser hands me a cake at a birthday party
What you want me to do with this, eat it?
Happy birthday to the ground!
I threw the rest of the cake too!
Welcome to the real world, jackass!

So many things to throw on the ground
Like this, and this, and that. And even this.
I’m an adult!

Two Hollywood phonys trying to give me their autograph.
Ground! Nobody wants your autograph! Phonys!
Then the two phonys got up. Turns out they had a taser.
And they tased me in the butt hole.
I fell to the ground.

The phonys didn’t let up.
Tasing on my butt hole, over and over.
I was screaming and squirming
My butt hole was on fire!
The moral of this story is: you can’t trust the system!
Man!

Bed Intruder: Hide your kids, hide your wife!

Bryan showed one of the most awesomest YouTube videos of all times:

Bed Intruder Song

It's about this dude named Antoine Dodson who saved his sister from a rapist. He gave a passionate and flamboyant speech during the interview, which the Gregory Brothers turned into a song =3

Freaky Fred

My bro Isaac was recently watching an episode of Courage the Cowardly Dog titled Freaky Fred.

As I child, I always felt that it was bizarre and macabre, but now I love it!
I totally love the poem - the guy who wrote has great command of the English Language and has a real knack of crafting poems.
The voice actor of Fred is a genius.

The most hilarious part was when Fred shaved the pancakes into Courage's mouth LOL!

Okay enough ado, here's the video:

Here's the lyrics of the poem. Some parts are hard to understand, I had to think hard or search definition for words. I added "*" and "^" for unfamiliar words or phrases which I interpreted :)
Hello new friend. My name is Fred.
The words you hear are in my head.
I say I said my name is Fred.
And I've been...
Very naughty.

The story I'm about to tell
I tell you I will tell it well
Is of my dear aunt Muriel
And just how I've been...
Naughty.

Voila, the farm. My aunt lives here.
With precious pup and husband dear.
My heart beat fast as I drew near.
I felt so nice...
and Naughty.

I thought just how excited they
Must be that I would come today.
They'd shout, "Come Fred! Huzzah! Hoo-ray!
Dear boy, you look so...
Naughty."

That's when my tired eyes beheld
A doggy dog! Like dog he smelled.
D-O-G is what he spelled.
And that's how I spell...
Naughty.

Alone was I, with tender Courage.
And all his fur, his furry furrage*.
Which, I say, did encourage
Me, to be quite...
Naughty.

It was a day I'll not forget;
The day I first met my pet.
Oh, what a lovely gift to get.
I'd never felt so...
Naughty.

My fuzzy friend is what he was.
This darling little ball of fuzz.
And, oh, such fuzz, such fuzz, it does
Demand that I be...
Naughty.

He looked at me, his fetching eyes,
And fetching fur did hypnotize,
I filled with joy, I filled with sighs;
And that was when I got...
Naughty.

His dripping hair, this droopy curl,
Unfurls sweet memories of a girl.
With tresses oh, they twist and twirl.
And tempt me to be...
Naughty.

Barbara, my love was named;
And her fair hair, a mane untamed;
Until one evening, I'm ashamed,
I got a little...
Naughty.

The look upon my young love's face
Was sweet as lace**!
But in this case, I realized she
Needed space***.

I never more was naughty.
Well... maybe not never.

Dear cur, your fur and fleece remind
Of nothing found in humankind.
But for one fellow, who did find
Me, to be in a certain mood.

Into my shop he walked one day,
With bush above, and beard bouquet.
"That's no toupee****," I prayed, "No way."
I could help but be...you know...

I'd never seen such hair before!
His bangs*****, they sang! His neck, it beckoned!
Eyebrows, armpits, all were reckoned!
Soon, I figured, what the heck!
And that's how I was...
Naughty.

But then my landlords^ did presume
To free me from that porcelain tomb^^,
And ferry to a private room^^^,
Your hero, ever doughty^^^^.

Goodbye, dear aunt. I'll miss your farm.
And Eustace's ebullient^^^^^ charm.
And farewell Courage; what's the harm,
If I was slightly...
Naughty.

With Love, Fred.
*furrage is not a real word, but it is a play on the word fur to mean something full of fur.
**lace is a delicate decorative fabric made from cotton, silk, etc., woven in an open web of different symmetrical patterns and figures
***needed space is a phrase to imply a break-up of a relationship
****toupee a small hairpiece to cover partial baldness
*****bangs means fringe (in the United States, Canada and the Philippines)
^landlords in this case refers to the staff of the "Home for Freaky Barbers"
^^porcelain tomb refers to the toilet
^^^private room refers to solitary confinement
^^^^doughty means brave
^^^^^ebullient means cheerful, full of energy

Old Spice Retarded Commercial!

I've seen this retarded video a month or two ago, and I've been trying to find it again but I didn't know what it was called. I tried searching for "Funny Deodorant Commercial" and stuff like that, but with no luck.

Only when my elder brother chuckled at a video did I discover the name of the hilarious commercial.

So here it is; prepare to laugh your lungs out ^^

To God Be The Glory

Thank God for an awesome Easter Celebration, all the friends that came, the precious salvations, and the excellent drama!

Went to Changi Airport to fellowship after Sunday Easter Service!

Photograph Fail.

Cardiac Arrest.

Isaiah preparing to unleash the final blow

Power Suction!

Epic crash. Left a dent in the wall :X

Jed slipped as both trolleys went apart. Lol.

I can do teh splitz.

Yea! Had lotsa fun with everyone! :D
Totally love the "Hi Larry" game we played! Was so funny! General Bak Kwa! And Oswin's fake cough was very well placed :X

Feeling a little tired right now after Easter. Maybe its because I slept at 4.30am last night. Or morning. :X
So please forgive me I'm suddenly spouting a lot nonsense haha.

Out of randomness, I made a mandarin version of Down

Baby 你放心
你是我唯一
决不离开你
就算天倒下的那日期

就是我唯一
不用再担心
Baby are you down down down down down

Yea, I know, the 4th line kinda weird.

Anyway, I wanna thank God for a couple of things:

1) Anointing to be a guitarist
During yesterday's Zone Meeting, I felt that I didn't play very well; I played wrong chords quite a number of times. Also, I wasn't very sharp to notice Weiren's signals at times, and I feel that I didn't flow very well.

So when Daniel came up to me and said:
"You played very well! Got presence of God when you play!"
"What? Really?"
"Yes, can teach how you play guitar?"
In my mind I was thinking, "But you know more about guitar than me."

Thank God for using me to be His channel. If not for His anointing, I won't be who I am. To Him be all the glory!

Of course, the presence of God came also because of the hunger level of the people, not only because of the music. Let's always be hungry for God's presence in every meeting! :)

2) Answering my desire and opening a door
I thank God that I got a place at my dream course:

B. Sc. in Game Design (BSGD),
DigiPen Institute of Technology.

However, it is 4 years long and will amount to about $80k in tuition fees.

I was more concerned about the length of the study as I believe that God will somehow supply the money, as He has done so many times in the past.

I had wished that there would be some way to cut the length of the study, but I didn't really ask God about it. I prayed more for the $80k :X

Praise the Lord; God opened a door for me! A few days back, Bryan informed me of this 2-Year Degree Programme for polytechnic students - the result of a joint effort between Singapore Institute of Technology(SIT) and DigiPen. This means that I can finish my dream course in 2 Years! And it's subsidized by the government - about $27k for the 2 years! Thank you Jesus! God indeed knows our secret desires!

Now I'm praying that I'll be selected for this programme, and for provision to cover the tuition fees :)

To God be the glory!

Fellowship with NYP CHC Frens!

'sup guys!

Went to Fish and Co to meet my Nanyang Polytechnic friends who are also in City Harvest on saturday night :)
We're celebrating Evangeline's 21st birthday so I was "obligated" to go wahaha.

Had to leave W406 at Vivo though :'(
Wanted to spend more time fellowshipping with them but oh well...

It was an awesome time of godly fun and laughter! :D
We were practically disturbing Evangeline the whole time by making indirect comments about her and Chang Han.

When a love song was playing, Rickson commented: "Wah nice song ah... let's sing to your neighbour"

Finally it was time for the birthday celebration! The Fish and Co. staff played very good birthday hosts! The manager told the whole restaurant "We have a birthday girl tonight by the name of Evangeline!" and brought in the cake as well as a Sparkles stick O.o

They requested Evangeline to stand on a chair and handed her the glowing Sparkles stick. Then they broke into some birthday cheer! What a surprise haha XD
We also got a 10% discount for our bill 'cause of the birthday! Whee!

Front row: Carrisa, Evangeline, Chang Han
Back row: Eugene Toh, Mark, ME, Rickson, Oliver, Paul

After singing an exuberant birthday song and attracting a lot of attention, we got Evangeline to give the traditional birthday speech.

"What are your goals this year?"
(Evangeline talks about spiritual goals and rising up)
"That's great, but we'll like to know more about the natural goals, you know, like any social goals?"
"Ya, like going up to the next level of breakthrough in the areas of your relationships with other people"

:3

It was great to see Mark after quite some time! God answered his prayers for NS, and he's now in Police! He's getting a rather good pay too :)

Someone made a comment that those who came tonight were those who were committed to NYP prayer meetings. Rickson said that when we pray together, we connect spirit to spirit, and our relationships with one another are strengthened. He also said that's why some guys ask girls they fancy "Can I pray with you?" LOL. I'll remember that XP

It got me thinking - never despise small things like prayer meetings. Although we didn't get many friends saved during our time in NYP, the prayer meetings forged friendships that last.

Rickson is making inspirational films for his company in NS!!! Wow what a great way to practice his skills while serving the nation XD
He made some funny video about "chao keng" that went something like:

Sergeant: "Hey you go clean the place!"
Soldier: "But I allergic to dust!"
Sergeant: "Don't chao keng la!" (and hands him the broom)
Soldier takes the broom and starts foaming in the mouth...

Sergeant: "Hey you go run in the field!"
Soldier: "But I allergic to sunlight"
Sergeant: "Don't chao keng la!" (and drags him to the field)
Soldier starts fainting and foaming in the mouth....
HAHAHA super funny! Rickson says "You must have a creative mind!"
What do you see in this bunch of letters?

GODISNOWHERE

Some people see GOD IS NOWHERE.

Others see GOD IS NOW HERE.

Rickson sees GODI SNOW HERE.
Lolwut?

He also shared a familiar passage with us:

And a great windstorm arose, and the waves beat into the boat, so that it was already filling. But He was in the stern, asleep on a pillow. And they awoke Him and said to Him, “Teacher, do You not care that we are perishing?”
(Mark 4:37-38)

He said he was reading this verse when he suddenly noticed the word "pillow". Whoa I've never really noticed that before!

He was saying maybe Jesus wanted to annoy His disciples even more by sleeping comfortably haha. I was thinking more of armorbearing - the disciples probably gave Jesus the pillow to serve Him :D

Yay thank God for an awesome fellowship with NYP-CHC and also W406 at Vivo!

1st Zone Meeting of 2010!

I went for Zone Meeting last night! Totally love Zone Meetings! The atmosphere is always full of joy and love! Everywhere you turn, you see smiling and laughing faces! It makes you feel so at home, like you're in heaven =D

I'm believing for the day our cellgroup will reach this level :)

After a time of worship Weiren began to ask everyone to prophesy. He first asked Jasper to come to the center and got Raymond and Johnathan (I think, can't really rmb) to lay hands and prophesy over him. Weiren also prophesied over him. Jasper was very impacted and later told me what they said was very accurate!

So this process repeated a few times with different ppl each time! So awesome to see everyone moving in the gifts of the Holy Spirit!

I was prophesied for last, cause I was playing guitar haha.
Tan Jin, Eugene (Tay) and Brandon took the step of faith and prophesied over me, but after the meeting, Chui Laam, Cindy and Jasper (can't rmb if there was anyone else) also had a word for me, just that they didn't share it during the meeting cos they were already 3 people who gave the word.

Wow I'm super encouraged! Especially what Cindy said:
"Your pure heart for God and love for people will draw people to God"
(or something like that)

It didn't get a chance to prophesy though, hope there'll be another opportunity :)

Kinda sad that Enyun couldn't make it cos of work. Since I'm the only one from w406 there, I got arrowed to collect O level results hahahaha. Weiren shared the following verse:

But God shall shoot at them with an arrow;
Suddenly they shall be wounded. (Ps 64:7)

Super funny! Thinking about it makes me laugh hahaha! Alright till next time!

2010 New Year Herald

"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a NEW CREATION; the old has gone, the new has come!"
(2 Cor 5:17)

Praise the Lord! Happy New Year all!
2009 was an awesome year, but 2010 is gonna be greater!
I believe God spoke to me that the areas of my life that I wanted to change in 2009 will change in 2010! This means all the bad habits and disappointments in 2009 are past, and I will have victories in 2010!

2 Areas I believe I will breakthrough:
1) Passion for God: the same or greater passion that I had when I was a young believer.
2) Faithfulness: Being faithful to God, faithful in the little things(like punctuality :X).

I guess that if I have these 2, the rest will follow - financial blessings, joy, ministry promotion, etc. Thank You Jesus!

Let's take a look back at some of the cool stuff in 2009:

Awesoments of 2009:
  • "Boomz" and "Shingz" added to the Singaporean dictionary
  • Left 4 Dead - Awesome Multiplayer shooter
  • Fireflies - Best Song (In my biased opinion)
  • Dark Knight - Best Movie (Again, in my biased opinion)
  • Windows 7 - Best Windows OS (Now that ain't biased)
  • Jay Chou - Best Chinese Celebrity alive! (This ain't biased either!)
  • Most Retarded YouTube video:

MUST WATCH!

Achievements of 2009:
  • 1st time being a cheerleading flyer!
  • Read finished Harry Potter series!
  • 3 Polar Bears in my room!
  • Learnt cheng yao dance
  • Learnt Sorry Sorry dance
  • Attempted to cut Show Luo's hairstyle
  • Listened to the radio (hey, that's a big achievement for a guy like me :P)
  • Completed Call of Duty 4
  • Drank about a bottle of Heineken
  • Drank beer with Sprite
  • Ate 5 meals a day for about 2 weeks
  • 75 posts
  • Kept a Blog alive for more than 3 weeks

Good and bad happened in 2009, but I'd rather let go off the bad and thank God for the good :)
So here's some things to thank God for...

1) Graduation! (12th March)
Wow! Time does not just fly - it soars with jet packs on! Thank God that my last year in NYP was a most fruitful one, as I worked with Bryan Yeo and Robin Chia, the Top and Second of the entire Digital Entertainment Technology cohort!

Graduation!

These 2 buddies are not only awesome in their work, but also fun, helpful, and great people to work with! We made the best Final Year Project evar! =3

So yeah, I ended up with exactly 3.5 GPA! Thank God its not 3.49 wahaha.

2) 20th Birthday! (10th April)
2009 marked the end of my teenage years(sadded). Anyway, the 10th of April was incidentally Good Friday, and our church had our Easter Celebration during my birthday! I had lots of fun celebrating my birthday together with W406! I remember we had lunch at some Chicken Rice stall near Raffles City (imagine that!).

Thanks, W406, for the new jacket!

After which, we went to Esplanade and did all sorts of random stuff. Took plenty of photos and did some cheerleading stunts wahaha.

But most of all, want to thank God for saving Sheryl, Melody and Zining! That was the best birthday present evar! Thank God that they brought Jolin later and she too got saved! XD

3) Faith Camp (June 2009)
My 1st ever Church camp! It was loads of fun, and the sessions of seeking God were awesome!

Indeed we are the next generation of leaders, to take the baton from pioneers! Thank God for this privilege!

4) Game Programmer Job (5th July)
This job was really God-given. My elder bro told me to pray for a job specifically, so I did.
I prayed for:
- Work as a Game Programmer
- Salary of 1.6k-1.8k
- Nice boss
- Get the job in 2 weeks
My workplace in Johor.
That's right, its my boss' house.

I sent out like 2 or 3 applications, 1 of which went to my previous lecturer at NYP, who had his own game company. Bryan Yeo, Robin Chia and I made the best game project for the module which my lecturer was teaching, so he was willing to hire me!!! Praise the Lord!

Screenshot of the game I worked on

So I got a job as a Game Programmer, had a monthly salary of 1.6k, a friendly boss whom was my lecturer - all these within 2 weeks. God indeed answers specific prayers! Thank you Jesus!

5) Revelation of the Word of God (August)
I was in one of my most down periods around this time, but thank God that Weiren shared about the Word of God! He said that if we live by the Word and believe it, nothing can shake our lives. Not trials, not testings, not temptations. Our lives will ALWAYS be fruitful, NEVER having a dry season.

1 Blessed is the man
Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly,
Nor stands in the path of sinners,
Nor sits in the seat of the scornful;
2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD,
And in His law he meditates day and night.
3 He shall be like a tree
Planted by the rivers of water,
That brings forth its fruit in its season,
Whose leaf also shall not wither;
And whatever he does shall prosper.

6) Callings: Armorbearer & Leadership (August)
During this season God began to reveal to me 2 great callings in my life:

a) Be Weiren's armorbearer.
This means to serve him faithfully, anticipate his needs, refresh his soul, protect him from enemies(critics or whatever), stand by him during tough times, honor him, and to help him fulfill his destiny.

At least that's what the Armorbearer book said.

b) Grow the connect group to 200. (O.O)"

Wow okay, I'm glad I posted this - it reminded me of my callings. God only gave me the vision to grow my connect group after the calling to serve Weiren. The saying that God will only give you your destiny after you help someone fulfill his destiny is true.

Looking at this 2 callings, there's only 1 thing I can say: I can't do it.
No wonder Pastor Kong says that the dreams God give you are so big that you cannot accomplish it without God.

7) God's grace in NS (September-December)
I just can't believe the amazing grace that God has given me during the whole course of my army! God answered my prayer for 9-5 vocation, so that I can serve him! Throughout these 3 months, I have been under good and lenient supervisors! (Or at least much better than I imagined NS supervisors to be)

8) Risk game with Weiren! (30th December)
Played Risk for the first time in years on the 2nd night of the Chalet! I never really liked Risk cause:
- it seemed like more of a luck game than strategy
- the game lasts for hours

Weiren revolutionarized that! He taught us how the play Risk properly with various strategies and tactics. After a trial game, all of us became very "jian"(cunningly sinister)!

It was a pretty exciting game, which enemies became allies and allies became enemies, which the weak overcame the strong, which lasted for 3.5 hours. XD

-----------------------------------------------------------------

Wowzer that was some long post! Thank God for an eventful 2009! However we've entered into a new decade, a new era of breakthrough!

Of Food and Fasting

Yea I love Chinatown!!!
I love my workplace!!!

Never thought I'd like such a chinese-style place. But it's teeming with good food! And the MRT station is so near! Woots =D
The hawker food is pretty good and the price is rather reasonable :)

Anyways, I finished my 3 days fast yesterday woohoo! This is the first time I fasted for this long, and I just gotta say it ain't easy! Seriously, how does Pastor Kong do it??? Just 3 days for me and its like trials and tribulations. Pastor's record is 40 days. O.O"

On the last night of the fast at around 3am, just 3 hours from breakfast, I was attacked by a ninja mosquito. The bugger (no pun intended :3) made a swift and deadly attack and disappeared for the rest of the night.

And oh my gosh, those kisses were the worst I've experienced in a long time!!!
Couldn't sleep cos of the itch so I took photos of the bites:

My left forearm x1

My right forearm x1

My right upper arm (near the armpit :X)

I was shocked at the size of those bites! x.x
Alright moving along...

The thing I was most concerned about (as Isaiah is) during the fast was LOSING WEIGHT! No!!! My precious body mass!!! I doubt I'll be fasting for long periods until like 3 or 6 months later. Still be fasting at least once a week though :)

My long term goal is to gain 10kg (i.e. total mass of 65kg) by Sept 14, 2011!

What's so significant about that date? Its the day I'll scream "ORD LOH!"
Oh yeah, for those who don't know, ORD marks the end of national service :)

Candlelight and Christmas is coming! This week is the Live Connection! May all our friends whom we wish to invite be saved this month!

This Season

Torchlight
I started playing this game called "Torchlight" recently, after my friend showed us the game. Its a Diablo 3 wannabe, with the gameplay mechanics, items, skills, etc. pretty similar to the Diablo style.
Torchlight,
by Runic Games

Right now playing as the Alchemist, although I'm pretty noob; I'm still at level 9 while Josiah is already level 16 or higher wahahaha :P

It's a pretty fun game; a game to play while anticipating the release of Diablo 3! XD

This game is developed on the Ogre3D game engine! And its a very polished game! Can you believe it?! Even Bryan was amazed that Ogre could make such a game.

Nice artwork.

Deepavali Celebration
Alright enough about Torchlight. Last friday, my camp had a Deepavali Celebration, and all of us had to attend it. SAF is wise in wanting to build cohesion between the different cultures and races in Singapore, but we all kinda felt that it was eating into our free time, as it was after working hours.

Nevertheless, we went and it turned out to be quite entertaining hahas.
It was a little boring at the start, and the food was too greasy, but things got better.
The dance performances by Restricted Authority was good, with the last hip-hop dance item being the best! The most entertaining portion of the event was dressing up 4 men in a an Indian Sari!

Bryan was one of them, and that day I had the shock of my life. I saw a side of Bryan that I never hope to see again. All 4 men, including Bryan, acted like women, dancing those Bollywood moves and making some obscene notions. The whole room was full of laughter and shock.

Too bad cameras are not allowed in camp, or I would have posted those abomina- I mean unbelievable scenes :P

Personal Life

As for myself, I believe that now is the season for me to have a breakthrough relationship with God, to know Him as a friend, to have conversations with Him frequently. Now, I only know Him as a source of strength, wisdom, anointing and provision. Weiren told the CGCs that we have to go up one level higher in a spiritual maturity before our breakthrough as a Cellgroup will come. I believe this is the next level that I will achieve :)

Its quite a struggle to patiently wait on God and to seek Him diligently. Perhaps the issue is faith. This is the verse for my season:
"But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him." (Heb 11:6)
In other words, I have to believe that God will draw close and speak with me as I diligently seek Him.

My Cranium Basher Experience

Today I did something stupid. I wanted to use the pull-up helper machine in camp, but the weight was set to 120. I wanted to change the weight so I squatted below the seat, and tried to pull the pin out. The pin refused to budge, so I used more strength. The pin finally came off! At that very moment, the seat dropped and smacked my head. A numbing pain spreaded across my left cranium and I was temporarily stunned.

Bryan was kinda shocked at first, but seeing that I was still alive, he started laughing. Looking back, it was actually kinda funny lols :P

Aloysius and I were practically sleeping throughout the rest of the day. What can I say? I only slept 3-4 hrs the night before, because I went for Weiren's Zone meeting :D I love the Zone Meeting! Weiren always imparts truth and revelation, and the meetings inspire me more to be a cellgroup leader :)

I believe that God is moulding me in various areas: first in faithfulness, then in passion and now (I think) is living for the kingdom of God selflessly. I also want to gift of prophecy, so that I can edify my members. Sometimes I want to help my members out of their troubles and emotional struggles, but I just don't know what to say. That's why I'm asking God for His gift of prophecy to help them.

There is just so much potential in everyone of you in my connect group, and there are great things that God has called everyone of you to do. I believe that we are the generation that will do greater works than Pastor Kong's generation! Let's stand together in unity and support Weiren!

Eventful day at NS

Disclaimer: "Eventful" is a relative term here, seeing that nothing much has happened since I enlisted.
Something very funny happened today! Bryan had a medical appointment out of camp today, but he did not know what to do to get out of camp "legally".

Thus he talked to our CSM, "Sir, I have a medical appointment at 3pm today, but I do not know what are the official procedures to go for my appointment."

Our CSM replied, "Official procedures? The official procedures is to go to the edge, jump off and shout 'MEDICAL!'"
Then he walked off.

LOL!!! I was like laughing the whole day about the incident XD
Bryan wasn't too happy though; he felt that the CSM should have at least answered his question after the joke. I guess he's kinda right, even though the incident was so funny :P

No matter, Bryan got his answer from another dude.

Since Bryan was released from camp early, we couldn't get a free car ride back :(
Thank God for Amos! He wanted to take a cab back home at AMK, and he offered to take us along! Lt William and I wanted to pay part of the cab, but he politely refused! :D

Anyway, I suspect that we NDP clerks may be given assignments to do soon, since they brought in 2 iMacs today. Well, it would be better than sitting all day and doing nothing. Furthermore, 'now is the for us to shine...'

That's all! Until next time! :D

A Busy but Fruitful Week

Hey all, sorry that I haven't been posting. Been really busy lately. By God's grace, I managed to survive last week. Was practically working on Armor Valley every day, without slacking off, which is quite a miracle cause I normally would slack :P

Armor Valley: The game I'm working on with my company

I asked Josiah to play while I took the screenshots. Being an older brother has advantages :D

I started jogging again after a long while, on the advice of my boss, cos I have been oversleeping :X

Last wednesday, I had dinner with Fabian after BS at Fisherman's Wharf! Their fish and chips rawks so hard! I think I had Dory fish or something, which was $7.50. Had a nice time of sharing and encouraging each other :)

Giant Magnum ice-cream!
(at Dhoby Ghaut Interchange)

That's Fabian

When Fabian shared about deciding between 2 jobs, I felt an uneasiness about 1 job, but a sense of peace about the other job. It was the Holy Spirit leading me to show him to which job to choose! True enough, the job which I felt the uneasiness required Fabian to work during his cellgroup meeting. Wow, so cool! (phrase borrowed from Wanyi)

Fabian's a real brother, always very thoughtful and caring, constantly praying for me and asking about how I'm doing :) Thank God for such a wonderful bro!!! XD

It was quite draining this week, cause apart from work, I helped Weiren played guitar for various meetings. Many times I feel overwhelmed by the stuff I gotta do, and I get anxiety attacks nearly every night. Nevertheless, "My flesh and my heart fail; BUT GOD is the strength of my heart and my portion forever!" (Ps 73:29)

For a long while, I could not believe that I can last forever while serving God. I feel that I'm destined to burn out all the time. Thank God that He gave me a revelation through Weiren about the Word of God. According to Psalms 1, if I build my life on the Word of God, I will last forever, always fruitful in everything I do, always joyful in every situation.

Last week was a struggle but thank God for His Word! I'm a person who is quite unstable, not really faithful in the things I do. That's why I love Rom 4:20-21! I've learnt to put my name into the verse:

"Israel did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief,
but was strengthened in faith,
giving glory to God,
and being fully convinced
that what He had promised
He was also able to perform."

Wow! You can have a lot of revelations from this single verse!
Line 1: I CAN be faithful, it is possible! It is a matter of choice! Let me say that again, I CAN BE FAITHFUL! :D

Line 2: When I am weak, then I am strong, for He strengthens the weak; and to those who have no might, He increases strength.

Line 3: Ultimately, all glory goes to God, none for myself, because it is He who gives me strength, and my life is not my own (Gal 2:20)

Line 4: FULLY CONVINCED! When you are convicted about God's promises, nothing can discourage you! But this conviction comes from God, you cannot have it by yourself; you must ask God for it (a paradox but that's how it works)

Line 5 & 6: My future is bright and safe in God's hands; I do not need to worry, because God has shown me a glimpse of what my future is going to be, I know where I'm heading, and I rest in His promise, because Rom 8:28 and Jer 29:11

Woohoo! The Word of God is living and powerful! Thank God and Weiren for that revelation! I gotta watch myself though, and make sure I have love, because knowledge puffs up but love edifies.

Okay I could carry on talking about the Word of God but then the post would never be complete, so let's move on...

Leaders are also people, and we need to "nua" once in a while...

Scene before Cellgroup Meeting

God spoke to me a few times over the past 2 weeks, showing me what is my purpose now, and my purpose 5 years from now. However this week started off with temptation - I had a carnal dream on Monday which I have never had before in my whole life. Had to shake it off by confessing the Word.

I still have PLENTY of weaknesses, especially in self-discipline, but "being CONFIDENT of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will COMPLETE it until the day of Jesus Christ" (Phil 1:6)

Alright that's what I want to say, although it's kinda spontaneous and unorganized :D
I know I still owe the final segment of The Best Of Jay Chou series, but I won't have time to do it until next week, when I finally stop work XD

FAITH CAMP!

Yea I'm back from Faith Camp, and was totally awesome!!! NOAH! :D
So here's a glimpse of the fun moments:

Day 1

At registration

Playing icebreakers and learning cheers

We nearly lost every game to Joseph on the first day, who played as our nemesis the whole time. I guess we aren't talented in sports and physical activities haha. BUT we kept a good attitude at all times, cheering also for the other houses!

The night session was phenomenal!! Presence of God was very strong and Weiren preached an AWESOME message! Everyone was talking about it! I was feeling quite down as Noah lost at almost every game. However, when God's presence and anointing came, suddenly all these things became insignificant - it doesn't matter even if Noah doesn't win. That is because the reason for this camp is to get the anointing of the Holy Spirit, the impartation from the Leaders, the passion for Christ and the presence of God. That's all that really matters at the end of the day!

That night, I had the laugh of my life. I literally LUP (Laughed Until Peng)! Hey I just invented a new word! Anyway, there was this guy named Melvin (or Belvin) who liked to do Yoga stunts. He was hopping around with one leg with the other leg behind his neck. I've never laughed so hard for a long time!

Me and Melvin

Melvin doing yoga stunts.

He told us that he slept like this for 1 hour that night. LOL

Day 2
We slept for like 4 hours and woke up for morning prayer. We were all feeling tired but the presence of God showed up very tangibly! We had a great time seeking God together :)

We played Who Wants To Be A Millionaire in the morning! We won about 3 out of 10 rounds, which is not too bad, considering there are 4 houses. I helped Noah win 1 round, singing Through It All! :D

Later we had a break before the night session. We did the placard for Felicia, talked rubbish, snacked, camwhored and more. Occasionally, Qiming would be chased around by various sisters, especially Adeline.

P.S. I stole some pictures from the CG Blog.

Mervin and Eugene
before the night session

I'm beneath the shield lol

On guard!
Where did Sheryl jump out from?

W406! :D

Day 2 night session was great! We had performances from Campus Superstar finalist Rachel and Strikeforce! Rachel is just 15 years old and she looks so mature! She has a wonderful voice as well. I'm just amazed at how God can use someone so young for His glory!

Rachel Ling,
Campus Superstar Finalist

Strikeforce really BLEW THE HOUSE DOWN! Their radical performance was full of energy and power! Really love the rhythm! I recorded part of their performance:

The Strikeforce!

Tonight was also the Project Runway Finals! Congrats to our models, even though we didn't win - cause they really took a step of faith, and they will always be winners in our eyes!

Noah's top models,
James and Felicia!

Pastor Zhuang delivered an inspiring message about the Presence of God. I'm so glad that Jolin, Eugene and Melvin responded to the Altar Call! :D

Edwin led the final praise songs which filled the hall with excitement! It kinda felt like Emerge! Everyone was jumping, singing to God at the top of their voices. We all crowded to the front of the stage! Edwin and Pastor Zhuang also dived into the audience with the brothers tossing them about LOL. Pastor spun a few rounds in our hands :X

The crowd going wild!

W406 Again! :D

Qiming conducting his famous "We're Never, Never, Never gonna lose" cheer based on the hit song "Nobody" by Wondergirls

When most of the crowd has cleared the hall, I went about on a camera-ing spree.

Edwin's head popped out of nowhere.

Jing Yuan and Sunthari

Huimei and Myself

Later Huimei introduced me to Chui Laam and Geraldine although we already knew each other. Only when she asked them to "get my number" that I realized what she was up to haha. I have no idea why she thinks so highly of me.

Huimei please don't pull this kind of stunt on me can? XD I'm not that good as you think I am; just ask Weiren :X "我不配..."

Speaking of Jay Chou songs, I was really high that night and sang out loud as we were bathing. Anyway, back to my camera spree...

Random picture of bros

Ready for battle!

Now presenting a MUST WATCH video of the retarded things we did:

That's Zining doing her gymnastic gig, Melvin hopping on one leg with the other leg behind his neck, some brothers behaving like monkeys on the pull-ups bars

Day 3
We had a great session with Faji! He asked us to invite our friends for the celebrity weekend, and within 10 mins, we have 110 confirmed friends! We broke camp at 3pm, and Qiming treated all of us to lunch!!! Bless his kind soul! I pray for God's strength to be with him as he enters army tomorrow.

Noah had the lowest points at the end of the 3 days, but I believe we were the most spiritual! When Faji did the shout of faith, most that fell under God's weight were from Noah! The only person that had a word from God through Pastor was Joel from Noah! The brothers also prayed together before we slept every night!

Conclusion
The Faith Camp is truly a faith camp! I discovered that I have an abundance of faith after the camp, to be Cellgroup leader, to reach out to the lost, to shine for God in the marketplace, to see a new generation of young leaders who will take Singapore by storm!!!

Finally, I would like to end by saying that all of you guys in W406 have the potential to do great things for God. Pastor Zhuang, Weiren, Faji, and the rest told us that we are the next generation that will accomplish great things for God not just to inspire us. There is substance in their words - I too feel in my spirit. Many of you will become CGLs! You are the generation of the greater works, the generation that will bring City Harvest Church to 100,000, the generation whose hearts are pure before God!

Praise the Lord!
